Baccara!
Glorious news reaches us from the Eurovision front! Baccara, the two multilingual Fuertoventurian talents are trying to enter Eurovision again. You might remember these ladies from such masterpieces as "Parlez-vous français" and "Yes Sir, I can boogie", and from their omnipresence in Piglet's disco-eurovision birthday-present compilations.
This year they're trying out for Sweden (a change from Luxembourg, the previous country they represented, in 1978) with the undoubtable crowdpleaser "Soy tu venus por esta noche".
In case you've never heard of Baccara, I am now giving you the evil eye, urging you to fire up your illegal download software (I know you have it, for just these occasions!) and search for something by them. You will soon find out that they can't sing, their english is atrocious (as is their spanish) and you'll see why they are considered "camp" and why I love them. Without a doubt.
